SAWS
Saws are classified by length, tooth pitch and type. Thus 22 x 10 panel is a 550 mm long, 10 points per inch panel saw.

Length : denotes the length along the cutting edge of the blade and is traditionally shown in inches.

Tooth per inch (T.P.I) :  is the number of teeth per inch of the cutting edge and is measured from outside base of each tooth.

Points per inch (P.P.I) : is the number of points in an inch and is measured from the tops of the teeth ponts.
As a general guide there is always one more point per inch (P.P.I) than there are teeth per inch (T.P.I) for example 7 teeth = 8 points.
